Marisa Faircloth, PA-C & Karl Stonecipher, MD
(Greensboro, N.C.) March 24, 2017 – The premier treatment center for non-surgical cosmetic procedures in the Triad recently opened a new practice in Greensboro. Well-known Restoration MedSpa of Winston-Salem, under the management of its founder and owner, Marisa Faircloth, PA-C, opened its Greensboro location recently.
The expansion merges Faircloth’s practice with that of Greensboro’s pioneering Lasik surgeon, Karl Stonecipher, M.D. “In an industry that is constantly changing with new treatment options, services and products, the Restoration MedSpa model is one that I wanted to introduce locally,” Stonecipher said. “Not only does Marisa have one of the best techniques I’ve seen, she has a remarkable way of making her patients feel comfortable and confident in an industry where it can be difficult to know which options are best for you.”
For that reason, Restoration MedSpa offers a complimentary consultation to all their patients. “I don’t believe you should ever have to pay to have questions answered,” says Faircloth, who also employs a fulltime medical concierge in her practice.
The youngest graduate of Wake Forest University’s Bowman Gray School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program in 1982, Faircloth spent her early career working with plastic surgeons and dermatologists. “I remember well when I first realized that non-invasive treatment options were outpacing the traditional surgical ones – in innovation and outcomes,” Faircloth said. “These were not only less costly, they offered excellent results with little or no down time.”
According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, nonsurgical procedures totaled 740,751 in 1997. In 2014, there were nearly 8.9 million procedures performed. “This is not only a significant paradigm shift,” Stonecipher said. “It provides an opportunity for long-term practitioners like Marisa to take an industry-leading role due to their keen understanding of facial structure.”
Faircloth uses a vast array of options and solutions, customized for her patients, to lift, fill and contour the face to achieve a more youthful and rested appearance. “For me, it’s not as much about looking younger as it is about looking and feeling confident,” says Faircloth. “Unfortunately, the environment takes a toll on the skin, and, over the years, it can rob you of natural beauty – which we aim to restore.”
The recent opening of its additional location provides patients in Greensboro easier access to Restoration MedSpa’s signature procedures like injectables, including Botox®, Juvederm®, Volbella®, Voluma® and Kybella®. The Winston-Salem location also offers laser treatments, Ultherapy, CoolSculpting®, weight loss solutions, BioTE® hormones, medical grade skin care products and a full array of custom treatments.
Faircloth is credentialed by Allergan as a Master Level Injector – the highest possible certification. Restoration MedSpa is ranked as a Platinum Level Practice, which places it among the top 8% in the nation, alongside much larger practices. It is soon to elevate to Platinum Plus, ranking Restoration MedSpa in the top 4% nationally.
“While many believe that Botox® is Botox®, that’s simply not the case,” Stonecipher said. “A skilled practitioner gets the full potential from the product, which can lead to less satisfying results with someone who lacks Marisa’s skill.”
Recently, Faircloth became one of only 500 practitioners world-wide licensed to perform the patented ArqueDerma technique, a unique procedure that repositions tissue in the face and stimulates collagen to create a tighter, more youthful appearance. The non-invasive “facelift” is only offered in six other locations across North Carolina.
