Treatment
Your Restoration MedSpa provider will inject numbing agents into the treatment area to maximize your comfort prior to beginning the procedure. Then, we’ll apply a temporary tattoo to mark the treatment area and begin the MiraDry session. The applicator harnesses microwave energy to permanently destroy sweat and odor glands as well as hair follicles.
Recovery
Although minor, common side effects may include slight swelling, redness, and tenderness in the treatment area for a few days. Within 1 to 3 weeks, you may notice 100% sweat reduction, though some sweating will return with more time. After completing 2 sessions, about 93% of patients are no longer bothered by their sweat levels and 80% are no longer concerned about odor.
