If you haven’t already scheduled your complimentary consultation with Restoration MedSpa, please do so before reading on. Just call us at 336.999.8295 and we will be happy to help get you on our calendar.
So, now you’ve scheduled your first consultation at Restoration MedSpa, here are a few tips to make your first treatment visit the best experience possible.
Plan Ahead
When you schedule your first treatment, please keep a bit of an open time during the day following the appointment. Depending on the procedure you’re having done, it’s best to keep your schedule flexible, just in case. For instance, if you’re getting Botox® or Coolsculpting®, there is no downtime. However, with some fillers, bruising or swelling may occur, so you should plan accordingly. If you’re having fillers, please don’t take multivitamins, Motrin, ibuprofen or any prescription or over the counter blood thinning medications prior to your appointment. These can potentially cause you to bruise more. Restoration MedSpa recommends the suspension of these types of medications 7-10 days before your scheduled treatment to decrease the incidence of bruising – if it is advisable by your doctor.
What to Bring to Your Appointment
If you’re having treatment to your facial area, please remove all makeup before you arrive. It’s important for us to start “with a clean slate” so to speak, so we can get the best impression of your skin’s natural state. Depending on the treatment you receive, once you’re finished, you can visit the Restoration MedSpa makeup counter. There, we can help you choose what makeup would be best for your skin type and can ensure that you are beautiful for the rest of your day. Some treatments, however, require that you do not apply makeup for at least 12 hours after. We will help you in advance to let you know what is expected for your specific treatment. Just a bit of planning ahead will make everything go smoothly and ensure you’re camera-ready for getting back to work or other events.
Special Note About Children
Unfortunately, Restoration MedSpa cannot allow children under the age of 12 alone in our reception or treatment areas. Nor may they be in the treatment room during any type of laser treatment. This is for your safety and theirs, as well as for the privacy of all our clients. We appreciate your understanding and adhering to this policy.
What to Expect
When you come in, the first thing we will do is confirm your information and go over your medical history. Then we will take “before” photos of your face or area of treatment so that we may document your progress. We know most people don’t like these before photos, but they are an important part of your treatment progress since they help us clearly see and track your results. Remember, there will be wonderful “after” photos to go with those “before” photos!
What’s Next?
After your consultation and then after your first treatments, we will outline clearly what we believe your steps of home care and after treatments should be. We will do everything possible to make you comfortable and satisfied with your results. Restoration MedSpa wants to work with you to determine your overall wellness priorities and how we can help you achieve them.
