(Winston-Salem, N.C.) November 9, 2015 – Marisa Faircloth, PA-C, formerly of The Spa at Highland Oaks and known for her holistic approach to the art of cosmetic interventions, recently opened Restoration MedSpa at 250 Executive Park Boulevard in Winston-Salem.
A seasoned professional who has devoted more than 30 years to helping patients understand their treatment options, Faircloth is one of only three people in the region ranked as a master injector (due in large part to the number of patients she’s treated).
“While people are enjoying longer lives than ever before, successful aging is normally tied to health and fitness,” says Faircloth. “But I believe that healthy aging is also tied to healthy skin – not so much looking younger, but looking better.”
Some of Faircloth’s longtime patients have recovered from cancer and other illnesses. She says she believes there is a direct link between providing patients with treatments that cause little pain and downtime, and the psychological benefits of looking in the mirror and liking what you see.
“There’s nothing worse than having someone tell you how tired you look – especially for a woman,” says Faircloth. “Just the opposite happens when someone says, ‘You look great today.’ The surge of endorphins follow, and it can really make a difference in overall wellbeing; I honestly feel that I was called to help people feel good about themselves.”
It seems the National Institutes of Health agree, in its recent calling for more research on aesthetic dermatology’s contribution to healthy aging – and its part in prevention, regeneration, and delaying of skin aging.
Restoration MedSpa is celebrating with an open house during business hours all day this Thursday, November 12, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. In addition to learning more about Faircloth’s vision for the practice, visitors can enjoy refreshments, prizes, gifts, drawings for free treatments and introductory offers.
